Ann's Dbl Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

1/3 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup flour
6 oz. Bitter sweet Chocolate
¼ tsp salt(opt.)
1 cup semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
2 large eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Tbs. Water
¼ tsp baking soda
½ C chopped nuts (opt. - I don't add because I don't like nuts.)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 F. Grease 9-inch square pan.

Melt butter with sugar and water either in a double boiler or microwave. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat.

Add Bitter sweet chocolate and vanilla and stir until smooth.

Beat in eggs one at a time.

Add flour and baking soda. Don't over mix.
Add chocolate chips and nuts (opt). Spread into prepared pan.

Bake 30-35 minutes - don't overbake. Cool before cutting.

Note: This recipe doubles nicely (9x13) pan or like I did yesterday 1 ½ times in a heating pan(sorry don't have the size here)

Thanks Ann M!
